ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rachel Kavathe is a mixed-media sculpture artist and place architect investigating the relationships between people and nature. Her artwork seeks to connect people with their place by making visible the often hidden or overlooked natural systems working around us and through us. In addition to her site-specific art installations and community-led designs of place, she works as a landscape architect, city planner and professor of landscape architecture and urban design.
