The Symbiotic Series explores unique connections between plant and animal species in the Midwestern landscape. Each artwork uses seeds that were hand-harvested from native Midwestern plants. The seeds are painted and reconstructed to form an abstracted representation of an insect that relies upon that plant for hosting its young.

This series was made possible by a grant from the Columbus Museum of Art and Design. The artwork is on display at the 411 Gallery from June 17 through August 21, 2022. For inquiries, contact 411 Gallery, Columbus, Indiana.
