Pixel Painting Project
Columbus, Indiana
We've all run across pixelated images on our computer or phone. What if that pixelated image you see on your computer was three dimensional? This was the idea that led to the Pixel Painting Project. Each "pixel painting" is made up of 100 blocks, of various colors, that can be spun to the color of your choosing. By spinning the colors, participants can create their own work of art, one pixel at a time.
The prototype for this project was displayed at Columbus Area Arts Council office for the Art Break Day in September 2018, and later at The Commons for a temporary exhibit.
