Switchyard Park, Bloomington, Indiana

This sculpture visually commemorates the history of the Switchyard Park in Bloomington, Indiana. Historic aerial photos were used to create an artwork that is modeled from the site's many rail lines. The sculpture is a way to remember the history of the site when it was a busy rail hub and also celebrate it's new beginning as a community gathering space. 

The artwork is designed to be interactive. The colorful train cars can be moved along the tracks and invite children and adults to play. The sculpture is located next to the park's busy splash pad and active B-Line Trail.
